I'd like to take all my PAL videotapes and record them into my computer to make VCD's. I've had several converted professionally, but the results almost always sucks because these converter places don't always have HIFI equipment and usually use worn out VCR's that need new video heads and since my video capture card like PAL signals I can make a VCD that looks and sounds better than any converted tape I've ever seen. Anyway, the problem is I don't see where I can rent a multisystem VCR to do this. The only thing I can think of is to buy a new one then eBay it when I'm done or buy a new one that has a NTSC tuner and just keep it as a backup VCR when I'm done. Any other ideas? If it helps I live in Maryland.
