  1. Hi there

well i have a problem with pinnacle studio 9, the thing is that when I export my video to mpeg, the video is not at the normal speed as it should be, it moves too fast (and no, the speed filter or that effect is not activated)

also, what you guys think is the best program to capture from a firewire? I already tried the default program that comes with pinnacle, also i tried WinDV , but they dont satisfy me that much.

I will apreciate your help so much

    Thank You!

I can't answer the first but I can answer this. What you use to transfer the file makes no difference in quality. The only differ in the options available. There's some free ones available in the tool section to the right.

  3. The "faster speed" issue is strange indeed. Try outputting as an AVI file and then encode with a different encoder and see what you get. What are you actually telling Pinnacle to do? Just make the mpeg or also author and burn?

Is there audio with the video? Does it play out of sync or just not play at all?

  4. well in options you can select between DV Quality, and MPEG, and both is the same, also i see some kind of horizontal lines so its kinda weird.

They are not the same. DV is an exact copy of waht is on your cam providing your transfer it as DV. Mpeg is compressed, the more it's compressed the more quality it will lose compared to the original DV-AVI footage.

You want a suggestion, try Ulead Video Studio 8.
