Same old problem. I rip a chapter from a dvd with SmartRipper 2.41, then i open the file with VirtuaDub 1.5.10, and i immediately notice that the audio and video aren't in sync.
This is the setting screen from SmartRipper
So, right out the gate, its not in sync. I would use YAAI v2.0.1.485, but having used it before, i notice that when i use it to delay audio (which i will need to do for this problem, and most of my audio skew problems now that i think of it), the produced clip starts with no audio, and i just want to line the audio and video up.
Thats not so much to ask is it?
I have also noticed that when i jack the audio skew correction way up to like 4-5000ms, VirtuaDub crashes when I try to play the output screen.
As always, any help will be appreciated.
Much love!

For any that are wondering, and using it as a deciding factor in whether or not to help out, I'm ripping movies for there female celeb nude scenes, by chapter, for my own enjoyment, as I see too many low quality clips on the web.
Since I'm on the topic, I'll ask a question thats been bugging me. When I open a ripped vob chapter in VirtuaDub, sometimes, no matter what i do in the program, the video and audio do not sync up.
BUT, when i open the same file with Zoomplayer and Media player classic, the audio is in sync.
Maybe, if i understand how the different programs operate, i can find a way to edit these movies with the correct audio without much work. -

the sound as is. Media Player and others can detect this.
You could rip the audio out as a wave and remux, re-enode, or
use sound software to add the exact delay. I think bitrate
viewer should show the delay If I remember exactly :/
May I suggest instead you try the reauthor mode of DVDShrink.
This will do exactly what you want and you can save time.
