  1. Hey, wasnt sure where to post this, but since it said anything that didnt fit into the other forums to post here i thought id ask, if its wrong im appologizing ahead of time.

I bought a slimline ps2 today as the older version ones are harder to come by brand new, used they are available. Anyways, my main question is this, the old thicker ps2's had the expansion bay in them where you would insert the hard drives, now the new slim ps2 does have that, can you still hook up a hard drive to the new slim ps2's or do we have to wait on some type of usb based hard drive for the ps2, or can someone with an external hard drive for a pc use it on the ps2 via the usb port?

i really want to get a hard drive as i dont want to wear out my games, id rather play them off the hard drive, and i dont want to alter "mod" my playstation just to play a back-up of a game, so im hoping the hard drive scenario unfolds here for me.

    thanks

    Hello,

I think I read somewhere that they are still making an "ADAPTER" to bridge the slim ps2 with the harddrive. Don't know when it will come out.....

Just get an xbox and mod it and throw in a 200gb harddrive! :P :P :P :P

  3. well i intend on buying an xbox with tax return, but im skeptical as there arent many games ive played for xbox that interested me, im mainly getting the xbox for halo an halo 2 n a few others, i dont want to mod either system and blow its warranty, as i dont have the money to throw around all the time

    Hello,

    SOFTMOD works perfectly

The patch installs on the harddrive and then you install and uninstall the mod at will to play on XBOX LIVE without getting banned

The softmod SHOULDN'T blow the warranty as you don't open the case Just delete all the moded files off the harddrive if you're going to take in for servicing
