I have two standalone recorders. An ILODVDR04 and a BALANCE DR4111 (I know it's crap.. but I got stuck with it).

Anyway, the ILO is great but does not allow manual chapter editing. The BALANCE does. So, I have discovered that I can record a DVD+R disk on the ILO, take it out (before finalizing it) and put it into the BALANCE. I can then choose "adapt" from a menu option and then I can edit chapters and finalize the disk on the BALANCE. That way I can have my chapters where I want them, but have the ILO do the recording.

I am wondering if I can directly edit chapters on an unfinalized DVD+R like this on the PC? Can I take an unfinalized DVD+R out of the ILO, edit chapters and then finalize it on the PC? Without having to re-encode or RIP anything? Please let me know and then I can get rid of the BALANCE (which is a piece of crap!).

D'oh!
