I have been using ver.1.51.2.0 for a while at home and it was working fine. Then I realized that ver.2 RC1 was out and thought to give it a try but couldn't get it to work.

I tried to install it both at home and at work. First of all, I did the following at work.
(Note: This is the first time to install SVCD2DVD at work)

1.Installed 1.51.2.0 and got it registered.
2.Installed RC1

The problem occurred when I tried to register RC1 after the installation. The "Machine registration" window automatically closed itself after about 10 seconds. I figured it would be OK if I would be able to click on the register button within 10 seconds (after pasting the registration code, of course) but it didn't work. I then started up 1.15.2.0 just to see if it works. Splash screen and the initial window popped up but it also shut itself down after 10 seconds just like RC1's registration window.

The situation is a bit different at home. 1.51.2.0 works (no shutdown after 10 seconds) even after the installation of RC1. And I *was able to register* RC1 and could start it up but then again, like the 1.51.2.0 at work, it shut itself down after 10 seconds.
(Note: 1.51.2 had been installed prior to RC1 installation)

To summarize all the above:

At work (XP Pro MUI with Japanese language pack with SP2):
1.51.2.0 ---> installed and registered but the program will be shutdown after 10 seconds
RC1 ---> installed but cannot register (registration window will close itself after 10 seconds)

At home (XP Pro Japanese with SP2):
1.51.2.0 ---> installed and registered (working fine)
RC1 ---> installed and registered but will be shutdown after 10 seconds

Tried uninstall RC1 and reinstall it but that didn't help. I am not sure if the Japanese language has anything to do with this but it is possible because when I first installed 1.51.2.0, I had a series of installation problems. Oh, and changing the system language to English in control panel (at work) didn't solve the problem either.

Any help appreciated.
