When I try to install ffmpegX I get this error message:

/Volumes/ffmpegX_0.0.9x/ffmpegX.app/Contents/Resources/gnutar: .spumux/arial-18/osd-mplayer-a.raw: Cannot change ownership to uid 0, gid 20: (null)

Does anyone know what is going on ?

    Thanks,
    Vincent.

You seem to be installing from the disk image, which you shouldn't.
Follow the installation instructions as detailed in the ReadMe file.

But I cannot see any Readme file. There is only one file which is ffmpegX.

    What should I do ?

    Thanks,
    Vincent.

When you downloaded ffmpegX in a .dmg file from the site, the mounted volume ffmpegX_0.0.9x should have 6 items:
    ffmpegX.app, ffmpegX manual.webloc, Credits.rtf, ReadMe.rtf, LisezMoi.rtf and Leggimi.rtf.

The ReadMe file has the words "HOW TO INSTALL:
Make sure that your startup disk has no spaces or special characters in its name.
Move any old version of ffmpegX to the trash.
STEP 1. Open the .dmg disk image and copy the ffmpegX application to your Applications folder.
STEP 2. Run ffmpegX from your Applications folder."

inscribed in large friendly letters on its first page.
