  1. i have a philips dvp642. Currently, the anime i play on my philips is cut off around the bottom, to the point where i cannot read the subtitles. I was wondering if there is a fast way to add a small black border around the avi files so i can read the subs?

  2. i have the same issue with it. But i think you just need to re-encode it and add the border that way. I dont know the sizing. Someone should help out. I get annoyed as well.

  3. If you want to use avisynth to add the borders all you do is,

AddBorders (left, top, right, bottom) I would try to use 16 for the bottom but they may not be enough you might need 32. I had trouble with this as well with my naruto eps I have, the subs would get cut off on the sides for long lines as well as the bottom. Hope this helps you!
