i converted a divx file to DVD format and burnt it onto a DVD+R using TMPGEnc, TMPGEnc DVD Author and virtual dub to make the sound to a wav file. Stupidly, i burnt the movie before even viewing the output file and the sound was out of sync by 3-5 seconds.

The original movie file was 1.4gb and i stupidly deleted the original movie file, so all i have now is the movie on a DVD+R in DVD format (VOB, IFO, BUP etc) with the audio out of sync.

My question is, is there any program i can use to make the audio in sync with the movie again? like delay/make the sound start a little earlier or something?

I recently had great success with AC3 Delay Corrector, however it only works on AC3 and DTS audio. You might be able to use DVD Lab Pro to add a delay to the audio. Just open the vobs, join and demux (DLP will do this for you), then adjust the delay and re-author.

What format audio did you convert to ?

Besweet should be able to add a delay for you.
    If in doubt, Google it.

hi guys, the audio is MP2 2ch audio i believe. When i open the DVD with DVDSHrink, the audio tracks name is MP2 2ch. I think it was 6ch originally but AFAIK, TMPGEnc only supports 2ch.

I created a seperate sound file with virtualdub cuz i thought that way for sure i wouldnt have audio problems cuz i know TMPGEnc has some problems with certain audio files.

Since im a video converting noob, i think im gonna stick with WinAVI. The quality isnt quite as good but its foolproof and its A LOT faster.

Maybe you would like to try VSO DivXtoDVD.
Fast, video quality is great, I have not noticed out-of-synch problem...and it is free...for now.
