Is there any guide or oldest post about the use of the above feature?
Can I use it for avi file spliting and joining or it is only for mpeg ?
What I m trying to do is to cut a part , apply a filter and then rejoin (because I dont want to apply the filter to the whole avi)
Thanks

MPEG only.
Encode in multi parts, and then rejoin after that.
Use SOURCE SELECTION "filter".Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Use VirtualDub for avi's...then frameserve back to your mpeg encoder (no need to re-join...your DVD authorer will do that)......and note its just as quick (if not a lot quicker) to encode to DVD than it is to re-encode avi's....and then re-encode again to DVD/mpeg
