  1. I've read a lot of posts about this subject, but none like mine. I recorded 2 episodes of "Lost" onto a ram disc. I then burned a Fuji dvd-r from that ram disc from my Panny RP82. When I played the finished dvd on my E60 there was a slight lag between the audio and video. So the out of sync issue is on the same unit on which the dvd was burned. I do have a long cable run between the 2 machines.
    Possible cause?

    TIA

    I have an E80H.

The only time I have ever had out of sync problems was because:

    1) I did an edit on the file before transferring it to DVD-RAM and then to DVD-R.

    2) The player couldn't handle the bit rate.

Now what I do is I cap the entire show commercials and all and don't do edits until I get the file to the computer HDD. Use a good frame accurate editor like the Womble products. No sync issues here...

  3. I did use "shorten segment" on the E60 to edit out the commercials on the ram disc, so that is a possibility. I'll check the difference since the Fuji dvd-rs only cost about 40 cents each. I do not use my computer for any video purpose in order to k.i.s.s.

  4. If the sync looks really bad I'll take an edited program and re-sync the A/V it's always off by a couple MS from the HS2 it seems but nothing noticable, except for directly after the edit, most tools like Ulead Videostudio and FCP will fix this sync issue but I don't have anything up to date on my PC, or my Mac.
