  1. So what blew your socks of this year film wise? Why?
What film made you sick, bored you to death, or you just had to leave
    the cinema/lounge room within minutes?

My favorite film for 2004 was Napoleon Dynamite. I have
watched and rewatched it so many times. I just love it!

I walked out of Oceans 12 half way through. I was bored
stiff. IMO it made Bad Boys II look like it had a plot.
Maybe I'm being unfair as there were a load of shitty films
out this year - but Oceans 12 was the last one I saw and
it sticks in my mind.. utter crud imo.

Favorites would be Phantom of the Opera, Ying Xiong (the American release was this year), Eternal Sunshine, Garden State, Shaun of the Dead, and Napoleon Dynamite.

Least favorite were Alexander and Spiderman 2.

And if anyone wants to know why I chose what I did I will gladly go on at great lengths to describe why I did or did not like a particular movie so just don't ask :P

I thought Aviator was very good but boring and too long. If they would have made an 1.40 long movie instead of 2 someting, it would be much better.

    Best of 2004:
    Spiderman 2 (I loved it)
    I Robat
Team America: World Police (I can't wait for the dvd with deleted scenes. Ppl say that it will an extended sex scene with puppets pissing on each other. AHHAHAAHHAHAH that's so funny.)
    Bourne Supremacy
    Collateral

    Worst:
Hero (I had such high hopes for it)
    Kill Bill 2
    Grudge

All of those are from the top of my head.

  8. Napolean is just weird. Dunno why but my BB store doesn't have any in stock. So must be hot.

    Hot: Billabong Odessey
    Not: Open Water

  9. Napolean is a low key indie film which would
appeal to only a few imo. More an arthouse offering
    than not.

  10. From what I saw in the theaters this year-

    Best:
    I, Robot
    Spider-Man 2
    The Aviator

    Worst:
    Fahrenheit 9/11
    The Stepford Wives
    Before Sunset

    Didn't see, don't care to:
    Shaun of the Dead
    Napoleon Dynamite
    Team America: World Police

And finally, could absolutely care less about:
    Shrek 2

Worst of 2004. Worst of this century. WORST. FILM. EVER.

Yes, I saw it in the theater. Yes, I was alone at the screening.

Yes, I am still a virgin.

No, I don't still live at home. I have some self respect.

Wrong, Second Greatest movie was Spiderman-2. :P

I really didn't like the movie. I could follow it, it was done decently, but I just didn't enjoy the movie. They had nothing of interest that drew me into it. Had a couple of the girls gotten naked and shown the 'goodies' I might have slipped it into a top movie category.

A couple of the girls did just that...but you'd have to rent these movies to see the goodies

    Jane Adams:

    The Anniversary Party
    Songcatcher
    Happiness

    Kate Winslet:

    Holy Smoke
    Jude
    Iris
    Quills
    Hideous Kinky
    Titanic
    Heavenly Creatures

  30. Films I enjoyed:

Van Helsing, Spiderman 2 and The Incredibles.

IMHO Worst film of the year:

Thunderbirds - We should have got magnificent CGI edge-of-the-seat daring rescues of Gerry Anderson's original concept. What we got were three kids being chased around an island. The actual Thunderbirds were hardly in it.
