at -40 things would grind to a halt here, pipes would be bursting all over the place.

Do you have to have your heating on 24/7 at those temps.

Looking at the first page of the site I would say #554 or #567 I am kind of conservitive, and say buy a coat that would be OK to wear to a wedding and a furneral. (ever hear of river mink) I used to trap when I was young

  14. Just noticed the chincilla jackets, better not show the kids that, they have a chincilla as a pet. They have extremely soft and dense fur so I can see why it would be sought after for clothing. But damn they are expensive.

nah -- furnace only comes on now and then - except when the kids leave the door open

at those temps though you have to make sure your outside water feeds are closed off inside -- or big problems ..

that coat looks nice ... hope thats artic fox fur ..

normally we just dress like this

  21. Yes, gas boiler with central heating. Digitally controlled timer and room thermostat (normally set to around 20 degrees). 14 wall radiators in total, fitted with thermostatic radiator valves. I am sure the wife is reptilian though.

they are not great to wear alive -- and dead you need like 1000 of them .....

    not a practical fur --

you should not wear fur unless you shot it yourself ..

The way I see it is the fur should be worn next to the body instead of on the outside. My old man would get these rabbit fur lined gloves that were the warmest damb things that I ever wore. He told me a story about how in the old days when the European immagrints were comming over to the US and getting jobs in the steel mills they wanted to look like Americans. So they would trade a cheap fedora(?) or other hat to the Russians and Poles for their good sable (or whatever fur ) hats.

My Grama is an avid animal lover to the end,but gives me weird gifts. I am not a hunter and I dont like endangered species products. She gives me antique ivory and wolf pelt.WTF?She goes to flea markets and digs this stuff up.I dont really know how to feel about this.
