  1. I have two copies of a dvd but both dvd are scratched, when I try copying it to my HD, it got stuck becaues some data couldn't be read. Since both dvd are stuck at different parts, is there any software that will allow me to change the disk when it stuck and read the other?

  2. Is it a DVDr? You can use ISObuster.

  3. Just a suggestion, but why not try to rip all the vobs to your hard drive and see it you have a full set - i.e. Vob 1, 2 and 5 from one DVD and 3 and 4 from the other.

Then using one of the DVD to DVD+/-R backup guides, make a working back up?

Mind you, I am sure that someone can see a big hole in my theory though!

as long as they are not sticking in the same file you should be OK

just do as cole suggested and copy whatever files you can from each DVD into separate folders. No need to rip, just copy using Windows Explorer if it lets you. See if you have all the files in both folders and simple put them all into one folder

if the file is corrupt both DVD's then you can still grab and rebuild the file. You can only do this as long as the corrupt sectors are not the same on both discs
