  1. I am fallowing a guide on this site that tells me to use virtual dub to rezise the avi file and save it as ***.vdr
i have left the window alone that appears in virtual dub.

the problem is when i try to add the ***.vdr file i CCE i get an error and the program shuts down. is i Xp that the problem. should i shitch operating sytem if so to what?
or is there some other problem?

I have used dvd2avi to save a project file
    i get:
    ***.d2v
    ***.wav

then i used VFAPIConv-1.04-EN on ***.d2v to convert to an avi file

then i used vitrual dub on the avi and you know the rest

i really need some help here please!!

  2. in order to frameserve to cce under win2k, virtualdub must be run as winnt4 sp5(apcompat.exe). this may or may not be relevant to winxp

  3. what is apcompat.exe ????

  4. apcompat.exe forces compatibility with software specific to previous operating systems under win2k. i dont know what the winxp equivalent is or if there is one. try searching your winxp cd

  5. I have encoded it in WinME using
dvd2avi to save save project *.d2v and *.wav

    convert the *.d2v to *.avi

after using virtual dub to rezise end encode the *.avi file i use pulldown to set framerate
I encode the *.wav file in tmpeg
then i multplex the *.mpv & *.wav file in tmpeg.

Later when i see the movie i hear that the audio is out of sync with the picture.

Anyone know what the problem is or do i just need to restart the computer

In windows xp you can run a program in any OS mode going back to win95, just right click on the executible, select properties then compatibility, then select which OS you want to run the program as, this may solve you problem.

  7. burn the mpg to cdrw & test if it is out of sync on your standalone. if so is the async constant throughout, progressively increases, or drifts back & forth?

  9. try swapping the field-order in cce(check/uncheck top field first) or did you use forced film in dvd2avi in which case my suggestion is useless?
