I have a DMR-E85H connected to a directv satellite receiver. I have a second Directv receiver in another room My question is if I put a DMR-E55 recorder to the second receiver and record a program to a RAM disk can I take the RAM disk to the DMR-E85H recorder and dub it to the HDD for editing then burn it to a DVD-R. Thanks

I recorded a program on a RAM disk, then it was no problem to high speed dub it to the HDD, edit it, then dub it back to to a DVD-R. So the extra DMR-E55S in the bedroom will work just fine. I can record a program to the RAM disk, take it to the DMR-E85HS, high speed dub to the HDD, edit and dub to a DVD-r. Beats having to buy two HDD units.
