  1. Hi guys,
    I have the following problem:
-the date and hour that show on the tape movie does not show on the dvd.
Can you please guide me with this ?
I capture with Premiere and convert with Canopus, without authoring (too much to transfer, too little time).
    Thanks.

  3. Yes, on the tape the date/hour stamp shows ok, even if transfering on vcr, but when burning a dvd with the captured movie the stamp doesn't show.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks .

When you view the file on your PC before burning, is it there ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Is the time way down in a corner? Maybe it's getting lost in the TV overscan??

  6. If this is from a DV tape,There must be a setting in Premiere to leave this on the final Video,I dont use Premiere so, I cant tell you where to find it.

  7. This is common with any DV transfer via iLink. The data is still there, imbedded within the digital signal, but it's just not shown (and can not be shown other than using the analog output from the Camcorder)

    It's stupid, I know.

Most editing programs can't use the date/time information in the captured file. Check out some of the date/time programs at https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=33#33. There are a few that will let you permanently add this info to your AVI.

If you lost the time stamp then just frameserve with virtualdub using a logo filter which can be made to be a time stamp.

  10. First, thanks for your replies guys.
Now, I'm a little even more confused now So there is no clear and simple way to just leave that stamp on the .avi ?
I'll look into Premiere capture settings again to see if I overlooked this by any chance.
Anyway, I usually like to have that stamp to remember the exact day but it looks that I can only have it if transfering on the classic VHS
