Was just curious on the average life of your console games, like the PS2, Xbox and even the cartridge games.

I have a lot of cart-based games from the NES to the N64, some I havent played in several years, and they still work. Even the battery-backed cart games I have still has all my saved game data in it. I take good care of my games and still have the boxes and game manuals too.

My PS2 and 1 games are still in great shape too, hardly any scratches on them, even after 2-3 years. Of course I do worry sometimes if I play them more often they would wear out. Some of my fav games you can't find anymore.....so all more important reasons to keep them in good shape as much as possible. Of course I live alone and have no kids so im not worried about my things getting the rough treatment.

Basically I want my games to last as long as possible, at least I get my investment's worth out of them.

    How about you guys?

I'm really neurotic when it comes to keeping my stuff in good condition. I still got magazines from 1991 that look brand new. People are always confuzed as to why my boxed set DVDs still have the shrink wrap on them. That's kind of why I hate letting people borrow my stuff. All my PS games have no scratches at all on them. All my Nintendo games still worked last time I used them (You still had to blow on it a couple of times to get it to work, though). The NES system itself no longer works. I used to let my cousins use it and they didn't treat it so well. I got a N64 which still looks brand new. In fact, I have it in the box right now with the styrofoam. My Sonic 3 no longer has my saved games on it though. Its a good thing emulators are around that can save data.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

That's why I always keep my room locked up and only use the back-up discs for when my niece wants to watch a movie.
