  1. I've tried ATI's MMC, Snapstream and a couple of others all with the same result. No audio.

Signal is from DirectTv stb into s-video in on radeon 9200 vivo card and looks great on screen.

Audio from stb to external usb sound processor LINE IN, Onkyo se-u55, sound is great.

I have recorded music from tape deck in this way with excelent results using Cool Edit Pro.

In the setup dialog, the Onkyo is seen and selected. I suspect it is a configuration thing. I have found no postings with this problem. Hoping for some expert advice.

Two things, make sure you have selected the correct line in in MMC which it sounds like you have.... Open up your soundcard configuration and make sure the line you have selected is enabled...

Just to make sure, if the audio is connected to your capture card.... You have to connect the capture card to the soundcard. The AIW just passes the sound onto the soundcard it doesn't process it.

  3. Card is not all-in-wonder, but has s-video in and out.

Audio is through external sound processor and connects usb.

This is NOT a usb capture device.

Audio recording software has no problem but DVR software can't find the audio signal.

Okay you have the ATI 9200 with s-video out
You are using home stereo and input the sound to usb.
But you're using DVR software? Which DVR software?
