  1. i think this is the method used to make a 23.976fps movie into a dvd compliant mpeg but can someone confirm it for me and tell me how to do it in tmpgenc plus please? i searched the other day in the forums and found a thread with screenshots but i cant remember where it was and cant find it now

    Most NTSC DVDs are physically stored at 23.976fps and have pulldown flags enabled to make the dvd decoder telecine the movie to 29.97fps in real time as it plays. Yes, if you encode at 23.976fps you must include the pulldown flags in order for your DVD to be compliant.

    In TMPGenc look on the video tab (close the stupid wizard) and look for an option called encode mode. Select the 3:2 pulldown when playback option. This will insert the flag during the encoding stage.

    If you already have encoded your video you can set the flag using pulldown.exe.
