  1. hi folks,

im a relative newbie but a very competent comp user/programmer.
i cant figure this one out. Please help!
I'm making a documentary on my grandma.
anyway i recorded the segment in .wmv and when i play it back in monitor their is sound, its fine, however after i add it to the timeline there is no sound when i play the timeline version.
does tihs make sense? im new to premiere.

i have tried other .wmv files and its always the same. other video types play fine in both the project and then the timeline.

ANY IDEAS are incredibly appreciated, thanks,
    j

wmv is not meant as an editing format ..
