  1. what's the difference between "microsoft MPEG-4 VKI codecs V1, V2 and V3'??? Do these 'V's' means 'versions'?? V1 the oldest and V3 the latest?

    Think DivX3.11alpha as is the same thing (V3 anyway). VKI if I remember added better rate control or something along those lines, but for that you are better off with NanDub anyway which if I recall also supported MS MPEG4 V2.

    Another thing. Despite the name none of them are actually MPEG-4.
