I'm very new here, and was reading how there some DVDs that are "finacky" to being used by the DVD recorders. Which dvds -r & -rws are pretty good & do you have to look for where there made???

The easiest way for a beginner to buy is at retail stores where you can sort spindles for Made in Japan labels on brands like Sony, Fuji, ect.

You can also perform aDVD Media search from the links on the left, and also look over the forum(s).
