    Im trying to open a wmv file so i can convert it to vcd but it won't recognize it. I'm using the latest version. It worked on one computer but wont work on another? Is there a WMV plugin or something I need?

    it may have DRM protection ... if so - you are out of luck

    Have you tried raising the direct-show filter priority to 3 or 4, even 5 maybe.

    what do you mean DRM protection? why would it work on one pc but not the other? its the same file.
