Ever since Windows Media Player was installed on my XP Pro machine, it is the default viewer/player for DVDs. If I go to the tools/options/file types/DVD Video - it is checked off. If I uncheck and apply or OK, the next time I view this window it is checked as default again.
I prefer to use WinDVD4 as default and I can't seem to make that happen. I have made sure that all the appropriate file types show this as the program to run. Is big brother taking charge? Anyone know a way around this forced option?
Thanks

Thanks, but this is a little different - I install a DVD in the burner, and Windows automatically launches medial player as a result. I'm not given the option to pick something, because version 10 is configured to recognize the file structure of a DVD, then execute itself. It won't let me turn off that feature.
