Some of the source video I have to encode is not that great -- mainly contrast, color balance and some noise problems. I use Dr. Divx to encode, and, according to their online manual, Dr. Divx can use Virtualdub filters. I did several searches to find these filters (and hopefully, guides on how to use them), but could not find them. All the links I found were dead. I would like to play with these to see if I can improve video quality. Hopefully, using them won't be as hard as finding them. If you have any WORKING links to these filters, please help.

    Thanks,
    Kirk

  2. Edit your source video in virtualdub, frameserve to your encoder. Virtualdub comes with a ton of build in filters, including contrast/brightness, levels, HSV, sharpen, etc... Do a search for Smart Smoother by Donald Graft for another great "noise" type filter.
