    hey guys
    i use nero 6603
if i burn a movie with dvd-copy function in nero 6603 my copied disc stops at second chapter index. (i have already 3 discs like that...
    all the same experience)
(only copied movies with dvd-copy do that)
if i put the same disc on HDD first and then burn like DVD-VIDEO no problem...

does nero have some bug or what?

    anybody experienced the same problem?

    thanks for help

I believe that your success may depend on the IDE configurations of your source and destination drives, but I do not know for certain. Nero can experience issues with on-the-fly copying if you don't go via the hard drive, if only temporarily during the burning process.

Some say it is safer to always go to the hard drive in all circumstances, regardless of your setup, others seem to do it on-the-fly without a hitch no matter what their setup is.

So AFAIK the reason why is a bit of a mystery - stick to what works for you
    If in doubt, Google it.

i never go on the fly...
i always used dvd-copy in nero which is making image and then burns..
i tried 2 programs now: both i used from the same dvdrom (reader) and burner.

i check master dvd and it is ok...
if i do make a copy with nero 6603 it is do the same mistake
copied dvd-r stops in first 5 minutes exactly the same time

if i use different program copy over image alcohol 120...
    ola....no problem...at all.....

with the same configurations and dvdrom and burner...

so any IDE problem or something i do not think so...

nero 6603 must do those mistakes.....if you use dvd-copy function

so guys do not use dvd-copy in nero....

there is no other explanation for that..

    any other ideas....

when doing dvd copy function in NERO burn make sure your read speed is double of your dvd burner speed ie: if your dvd burner is going to be burning @ 8x speed then make your reader speed 16x. i use this method sometimes times with no problems in burning. as already mentioned copying to your hard drive first would be a safer bet.

To: Deejay2001>>>it has nothing to do with the latest version of NERO. try the above suggestion i made....or copy to the hd first....i have my dvd burner on the same ide as my dvdrom....no problems in using the dvd copy function as long as the read speed is double of the dvd burner speed.

Indeed. On the fly copying of anything (be it CD or DVD) has always been risky (at best). Hell, I rarely burn anything without creating an image first.
