I would like to have something with the simplicity of how tmpgenc cuts and merges mpeg's , for avi's. Is there anything? I really just need to cut off a specific section of the movie so that I can convert it to mpeg and then combine with the first part of the movie (mpeg file)Just an easier way to cut out the bad frame, i dont have the time to learn virtualdub. So is there a program liek tmpgenc for avis? Thanks BD

  2. Cutting and merging AVIs isn't any harder in VirtualDub than it is to do the same thing to MPEGs in TMPGEnc.

  4. Well, to merge, just load the first AVI. Then use the append AVI segment option to add any other AVIs you want. Then save the new avi.

To cut, just load up the avi, mark the start and end points and hit DEL. Cut as many times as desired, and then save the result.
