  1. I have a disc, which I believe is a VCD. I'm trying to convert it to a DVD. After searching the forum and reading the only thread that seems relevant, I made a .bin image of the disc. Using the conversion tool in ffmpegX yields this:

    Any ideas? Thanks.

  2. This seems to be an old Philips CD-I. Are the various mpg files playable in Quicktime Player?

  3. I processed the .DAT files to get .mpg files with Gumby. Those resulting .mpg files play fine in Quicktime Player, VLC, mplayer, etc.

The reason for the conversion is that I need to get these playing on a portable DVD machine for a trip. It does support playing MPEGs from a data CD/DVD, but it does not support S/VCD nor does it support MP4.

  4. I put the .mpg files I got from Gumby onto a UDF formatted CD-RW, and they worked fine in the player. Emergency over.

I'm still curious to see why the conversion didn't work in ffmpegX...
