  1. Hi I would like to buy a bt878 capture card and use PowerVCR II to capture in real time in SVCD format or in CVD format...
    I have a AMD Duron 750 MHz, 512 SDRAM, HD 20GB 7200RPM ATA-66..
    ...can I do it?????

    It is been a long time since I used a machine so slow, so I could be wrong, I am afraid that many frames will be dropped during capture.

    Get a faster processor, and just in case a bigger hard disk.

    You would probably be able to capture to avi and then encode to SVCD compliant mpeg. But you'll need to wait an awfully long time for the encode to happen!
