I started a new project in videostudio with nothing but digital pictures in jpg format. My project settings are the default for avi as follows:
Microsoft AVI
24 bit 720x480 29.97 fps
lower field first
uncompressed
Interleave Audio for every 15 frames
PCM 48.000kHz Stereo
When I select the share option and choose NTSC-DVD with the default settings of
24 bit 720x480 29.97 fps
lower field first
DVD-NTSC 4:3
Video Data Rate Variable max 8000 kps
LPCM 48.000kHz Stereo
The rendering finishes and then "Failed To Open MPEG Coder" pops up. If I share as AVI it finishes fine and I can share it as NTSC-MPEG2 and it completes as well. Unfortunately NTSC-MPEG2 tends to jitter on the TV since it is frame based. I could use TmpGenc to convert the AVI file to mpg but I'd really like to know why I can't get it to save as NTSC DVD in VideoStudio. Any suggestions?
