I know that a lot of people found CMC discs pure crappy !
Well, until know I burnt about 100 discs of Memorex Id CMC MAG AE1 with no coasters. Here you can see the result :

All the scans of other discs are similar to it,I used them with a LG 4120 burner and with a Benq 1620.
So what I wonder is : It was only a bit of luck and I don't have to take other risks, with the interest of a long time storing, or the quality is really improved and this dye can be compared to others like MCC ?
Thanks for every reply !

ive bought 100 of the "new" datawrite titanium x8speed dvd-rs and there complete shite.they use the media code CMC MAGAE1 code, and well,i really am sure that there the same shite bulkpaq dvd-rs with princo dye,
burns are flawed, spots marks etc after burning, and after the longest time without any problems with skippy playback, etc, its like being back 2 years.my players just choke on these.
i mailed, svp, and all they stated was ,there really popular.best avoid i say.just over 40 of mine are binned now,i dont even want to see them as coasters in my house.better off with the datawrite classic greyx8speed dvd-rs with a fuji or prodisc dye.
i dont know what i was thinking when i bought these so called bullet proof discs.LifeStudies 1.01 - The Angle Of The Dangle Is Indirectly Proportionate To The Heat Of The Beat,Provided The Mass Of The Ass Is Constant. -
I already used the datawrite classic grey 8x with ID Fujifilm03.
These are the result :

Looking the scans, isn't really better the CMC one ?
Furthermore, all the times I tried Fujifilm03 at 8x i had a coaster !
They worked only at 4x .[/img]Minds are like parachutes. They only function when they are open ! -
I bought seven spindles of these from www.ukdvdr.co.uk - they were falsely advertised as having a Japanese dye (so Taiyo Yuden or MCC). Needless to say, I asked to return the whole lot as soon as I got them and checked the media code.
It has taken more than two weeks to get a returns number from them. Do not trust this company!
I have just ordered seven spindles of Datasafe MCC dye discs from www.blankdiscshop.co.uk (aka SVP). At least they answer my e-mails and seem happy to confirm what dyes the discs have.
Check out lordsmurf's site (www.nomorecoasters.com) - he classifies CMC as "Landfill Material". You would do well to follow his advice - he knows his stuff.

this is fujifilm03 scan :

CMC MAG AE1 had some positive reviews initially, namely the DATAWRITE 8x discs ... but it has not lasted.
As usual, complaints complaints complaints. Cheap junk media.
As Cobra said, some are misrepresenting these as MCC discs. They are NOT.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

scans prove nothing, cant understand why your obsessed with scans.does it play or not.its it marked or not.thats the proof,.ive had bad scans before and the discs worked fine, other times, good ones and poor playback..

Scans prove nothing?
A scan tests how well data can be read off a disc - that is the entire purpose of a disc, to hold information for later recall. These tests simply give a graphic representation of the data flow and therefore the quality of the disc.
I agree that no test is perfect, but it does give you a fair indication of what you are looking at. -
so your telling me that every disc youve scanned and is fine ,has worked perfectly, and every one thats bad is a flawed disc.only reliable way is to play/use the disc, and wait to see if it degrades through time.like you say,not every test is/can be perfect..
would you buy a car on the sole results of tests, nope! best and most intuitive way to learn if its right for you is to touch it,sit in it,drive it,in the field,so to speak.
thats my point.LifeStudies 1.01 - The Angle Of The Dangle Is Indirectly Proportionate To The Heat Of The Beat,Provided The Mass Of The Ass Is Constant.
