  1. I am running a amd athlon xp 2400+ processor with 512 mb dual ddr Corsair XMS ram, on a asus a7n8x-e deluxe board with 200 gb eide hdd, i recently bought a sony digital 8 camcorder and when i am doing encoding and extracting rar files into mpg i have noticed that my computer slugs along trying to multitask and open another window, iwas wondering if there is anyone that could help me decide on what to upgrade.

    1. more ram to 1 1gb kit of dual ddr

    2. raid 2 maxtor sata 120 gb hdd

    3. or buy a 3500+ athlon 64 processor with a asus a8v board and use my memory i have in my computer right know before i upgrade that to 1 gb kit and raid 2 sata hdd later

want to try to stay between 250 - 500 dollars

    Thanks Tony
