Hi,
i just bought a philips dvd player dvp632 ( i think it is the same with 642 in USA)
It plays divx external subtitles (english and kirillic fonts) without any firmware. Does anyone know if there is a firmware that plays greek subtitles?
I have copied some dvd's with only DTS sound. I connect the dvd only to my tv without any sound system. It does not play sound. I changed the digital output from the dvd sustem menu, from ALL to PCM ONLY, but there was no difference. Does anyone know if the dvd player does not support DTS or am i doing something wrong

No, it doesn't decode DTS for you but can pass the signal through the digital out port to your DTS-capable audio receiver.
