Just got Pioneer DVR-108 drive yesterday and in the first 2 tries it indicated burning at 12x (16,620 kb/s) but I was using 4x and 8x DVD blanks.
How come?
Anyone experienced that? It has to be an error.

No error, just means the firmware lets you burn those dvds at up to 12x,dont burn at max speed and set to 8x or 4x if you are getting bad burns.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
8) It's refreshing to see a post about a burner that burns faster than expected

capmaster,
..and you didn't believe in miracles. Just kidding but that was the case even though I will follow Johns0's recommendation and keep speed down to 8x.
Thanks guys.Regards
