Hi All!
I've read an article that says that once we record a CD, let it "opened", and record something else in the same media, it loses about 10 MB of disk space (I'm not sure about this value).
My questions are:
1) Does this comment about the CD is correct?
2) Does it apply to DVD medias as well?
Thanks in advance!![]()

Yes. 13MB to be precise. It's to do with the lead-in and lead-out. Each new session you record needs those so the more sessions you have on a disc, the more space you waste, up to 99 sessions. I never use multisession precisely for this reason.Originally Posted by joelson

You cannot do multisession on DVD anyway, not for DVD-Video. Only for data. And yes, it takes space.

For DVD, 16 - 20 Mb lost per session depending on the number of total sessions.
