...but you know how when you hover over a thread and a popup window displays the first part of the message? Is there any way to get it to stay open longer instead of closing withing 5 seconds? Awfully hard to read paragraphs that fast, and I'd like it to stay open as long as I'm hovering over it. Anyone know how to fix this?

It stays open on my machine as long as you don't move the mouse. Win XP Pro SP2, IE 6.0.

Nope, can't fix it. It is a windows tool tip and I can't change the timeouts. I have tried making it as a javascript but it is way tooo buggy. Try hover you mouse over the H(istory) on the front page under the Latest toools...it is a javascript...and they sometime never dissapears and other strange bugs so I don't want too many of those.

Is there anything I can do on my end by changing browser settings or such?
(Nothing pops up when I hover over the H. Nothing happens at all. I can't even click on it.) -
Maybe TweakUI or X-Setup might have a mouse setting change.

I have XSetup but I only use it for XMouse.
I can't find a setting that might help you.
EDIT.....but I have it set up for Windows 2000.
Not sure about TweakUI.

Time for some research. -
I've installed some programs too where you can set the timeout setting also. I just didn't know how to get to it for this place. If I have to go do surgery to the windows guts I don't think it's worth the bother. That x-setup thing looks cool. I may mess around with that for a while.

@baldrick: Woops, silly me.
Hovering over the H gives me 15 seconds of box
Hovering over a thread gives me 5 seconds of box, some threads only 3 seconds.
Oh well, it wasn't that important anyway. -

Seems like there were some warnings.
(might totally mess up your settings)
Like I said, I'm only using XMouse!

Alright. On the home computer, the tooltips stay up until the mouse is moved. The work system, they disappear after 5 seconds.
The only difference between the two is that the home system has SP2, work SP1.
EDIT: Both run IE 6.x (I'll get the exact version from work on Tuesday, home is 6.0.2900) -

How quickly this became an Off-Topic type of "discussion". All we have here is a handful of the same OTPW people come to normal forums and continuing their useless babble between themselves. And I guess my lame solution to the original problem wasn't good enough...
P.S.: This thread is not the worst example, but it does show a general trend of crapping On-Topic threads with all kinds of non-related trash, while completely ignoring the posts that actually in some way contribute to the solution of the problem (even if it's not the best solution).
P.P.S.: And if I get a warning for this post, I'll know for sure that the system is corrupt.
