hi,
i'm trying to copy a DVD, but the copy program tells me there is not enough space on my 4.7 gb recordable dvd-r. Apparently the DVD i am trying to copy contains just a little bit over 4.7 (not quite 4.8 gb).
I don't think the DVD i am trying to copy is a dual-layered DVD. So my question is:
Are there recordable DVD-R's that holds just a bit more than 4.7 gb, without having to go dual-layer? I don't want to shrink or alter the DVD i want to copy, i want an exact 1:1 copy.
Please, tell me where I could buy any DVDs that hold more than 4.7... maybe 4.8 gb?
thanks in advance

Actually a DVD holds about 4.37GB, so I doubt you could overburn it to anywhere near 4.8. Shrink it or split it to two DVDs.

Using iso read and iso write. Also, it will tell you when you click on iso read whether it is 1 layer or 2.

You said that you didnt want to Shrink it,but if you use DVD Shrink, you'll hardly notice any difference,if at all,as it will only be shrinking it slightly to fit,you said its only slightly too big.Its not like you trying to shrink a DVD9 onto a DVD5,so it may be worth a go.
