  1. Hello,

I am currently using software by AVOne to convert .RM video to SVCD. It has been working perfectly, however it is a demo version of the software and splits all video into 5MB portitions.

I am wondering if there is any freeware software that does this? And if not, should I purchase AVOne to convert my RM to SVCD or should I be spending that money to purchase different software that has the same capabilities?

    Thanks for your help,

  2. EO Video will do the conversion too. It has a free trial period and doesn't split the outputted files.

mencoder is free, can accept rm input and encode to MPEG2/mp2. Recent builds can make use of toolame for the mp2 encoding to.

Do you already own any other MPEG encoders like TMPGEnc, MainConcept, etc. because you should be able to use them. TMPGEnc can accept rm as input, for others you can frameserve via AVISynth with directshowsource().
