  1. Does Tayio Yudent make matted finished discs? I'm not too fond of the shiny ones because of fingerprints + Matted looks a little better. Thanks

I don't think so. Your options are either shiny silver, white inkjet printable or white thermal printable.

  3. Bummer. I wan't sure and thought I'd ask because saw that someone asked if the Yuden had white labels that went all the way to the hub hole and someone referred them to the appropriate site that had them when everyone else did not. I wish they did make matted finished.

the printable are somewhat matted finish - they are not that shiny ...

ive never seen a real one go all the way to the hub either ... and ive used 1000's of them ... then again .. maybe some do ..

  5. Perhaps I'll get the printable ones then. I always thought they had a white paper on them so that the ink can absorb in it.

bnbhoha, you're referring to white inkjet printable, yes.

When you asked about matte finish discs.. Most people assume you man just normal non-shiney finish tops, not printables.

And they are making W.I. Hub Printable TY's...Supermedia sells them, however right now they've been having problems, as some of the shipment they got are hub printable, and some arent.. (check out the boards on their site..had a friend order some and complain).

  8. Is it ok to use a thermal printer on inkjet printable discs? I want to use TY and I prefer a matte finish.

like one of these ? thermal printers are expensive except for the Z1 type -- which isnt really the same thing ..

inkjet is not shiny anyway on a matt surface disk ..

  10. I'm talking about the Z1. I don't want to use inkjet because of the drying time and the need for a coating to make it waterproof.
