    Ordered a 100 pack (came in two 50 packs, red wrapping, no spindle) from Supermediastore. Will be posting scans as they complete.

    Will be burning on a NEC3500AG, V2, Revision 2, of Liggy & Dee's Firmware.

    THE FOLLOWING SCANS ARE NOT G05!

    (I scanned these at max, and 4x...and sadly - these 'max' scans, were better.)

    It's acutally hard to tell due to that spike in your PIF's...cant really determine what all the other PIF's are at...You should remain below 4 PIF's..(Single spieks are usually dust, fingerprints etc, and arent normally something to worry about.) and 260ish PI's. I'd say that disc (LOOKS* okay...but hard to tell, once again, because the PIF's etc.. You should really get kProbe since you're using a Liteon already anyways.

    Come on smurf, I have been after you to get a 3500 for some time.

    They were $39 last week after rebate with 50 free Prodiscs. It doesn't get much better than that. You don't need his drive; mine does the same thing (actually a little better on G05s. Maybe there are benefits to stock firmware?).
    Still a few bugs in the system...

    Chas...*most* of the time, write strategies for media that's not hacked to burn faster than it's 'supposed' to, isnt modified. (there are exceptions, like changing the write strategy of all burns to a highr media code...like MXLRG02 to MXLRG03 with some firmwares)

    I've now had 3 coasters (that I know of - didnt pass verify), out of 50. Not bad...all seemed to fail at around 96-97%.

    Hi. An update.

    Going back scanning, checking them out etc..

    And keeping verify checked after burning every burn....

    Discs = Crap.

    33% - 50% seem to be coasters. Total crap. I'd have to honestly say, some of, if not THE worst media I've tried. Just keeping everyone updated.

    The ones that do burn have GREAT scans etc, and playback is great, too. But at only 50% success rate at 8x?
    Pathetic.

    (trying several 4x burns now, will update in awhile.)

  19. Fandim: Thanks for all the work. I have always had great luck with G05s but given your results I will be checking my burns with them before I archive; might save me some grief.
