Heya. I've got an .avi file with subtitles of format vob subs and idx. I wanna put them on dvd along with the converted avi file so i can watch it on my tv instead.
Anyone know how to do this and using what tools?
Thanks in advance.......

permanent subs:

after author with for example tmpgenc dvd author
switchable subs, you must convert the sub/idx to srt with vobsub or subrip.

or use diko, the filmmachine -
So if i wanted to choose the permanent subtitles option, i would
"add permanent subtitles from sub/srt subtitles to DiVX/AVI video and encode it to a VCD/SVCD. This method makes permanent subs in the video that you can not turn off."
And then i would convert this resulting avi file to dvd, and it would automatically have the subtitles?
