  1. I have used this drive before succesfully. now any disc I rip AND play is not working. the screen is garbled and pink and green ??

    the region code is set the rip also has the same issue so does a burned image

    whast gives ? I put in a disc I have uccessfully ripped and played before same results so it seems to definately be something with the drive?

    suggestions ?

    Is it just playback that's affected ?

    Can you *just* rip with it and get the files to your HD OK ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    You know that almost sounds like a directx issue I had once. It was something to do with accelerated video or something. I can't remember precisely.

    Do a directx search on microsoft.com for green flashes or something similar and you'll find a few articles on it. Good luck.

  4. Actually I think your right GOD DAG NAG IT. I deleted 18 hours of working thing it was all bad and it was all FINE rip convert burn was FINE it was only THIS machine when it tried to display the data that it got corrupted. GRRRR 18 hours of work to start all over again :-(

    I will look into the directx thing maybe just reinstall it.

    Nerys DS9 yes and no. I started using the nick before DS9 but I can not recall where (Discovery channel something) but I did like Kira Nerys so its not a bad connection :-)
