I am looking to pickup a laptop sometime soon. It'll be used for excel work, VB, DVDLab, email, web browsing and maybe some capturing. Slight gaming may feature but not too much. I'll be looking to spend upto £800 but not too much more than that. Someone has suggested that I look into getting from the U.S but that would make returns an expensive pain and I'm pretty sure I'd be raped by customs for the Import Duty. So leaving the U.S option aside can anyone give me some recomendations for a reasonable Laptop ?

Buddha says that, while he may show you the way, only you can truly save yourself, proving once and for all that he's a lazy, fat bastard. -
Look in your local trading post or any local forums that you may visit. Thats how I got a good deal on mine.
