  1. I take an avi and put it in virtual dub. Then i change the audio to 44.1 16 bit as needed for SVCD. I also use the huffy coded. Then i save the file and open it in bbMPEG and convert it to SVCD. (still don't get what it give u choice of SVCD or mpeg2?!) When i play the file right after saving it (not gonna burn it...just experimenting) it plays about 15-20 seconds of the 27 second file then the video freezes while the sound just keeps playing as normal till the end. Any idea why this happens? I saved it as the same as the original res.....320x240. Don't know if that matters.

  2. shouldn't, but try Mainconcept mpeg encoder.... you can set the svcd settings and size and all... but svcd size is supposed to be 480x480 (NTSC), but if the video is 320x240, then you can scale the video with mainconcept so that it is still 480x480, but has the black bars so that the video isn't stretched and maintains size...... you may hve to play with it... but this program works real good...

  3. I'm gonna stick with the free apps unless theres no other way. But i'm sure bbMPEG is fine and that i just need to find the right settings and all. I seem to be getting audio errors with a few different apps. So i think theres something going on with my soundcard or something soundwise on my system.
