I am currently running Windows XP Professional and Capturing from a VCR through RCA connections. I currently have a problem when the video is captured I am haveing a problem with the Video being washed out not matter what I do (settings or programs). I am using nVidia WDM drivers for my Video Card, but I was wondering just in general who has or had the same problem with XP and what they did to fix this.

I am also capturing with XP Pro but using a Radeon VIVO. I have noticed a slight washing out of the colour now that I didn't see when I was capturing the same footage under Win98. I didn't think it was XP since I also changed cams about the same time but now you have me wondering.
To increase the colour level, depending on your editing program, you may be able to increase the saturation before you encode. -
Interesting. I have AIW128, after changing from 98SE to XP Pro, I noticed the video was very dark on monitor, so I upped brightness in software and got washed-out video. Returned brightness settings to original and got dark vid on PC but looked OK on TV. Gamma setting had no function. Could this be a bug in ATI software? heavens, no!
