I have 55 of my favorite Cartoons that are in Xvid format and I would like to put them all on to one or perhaps two DVD's if possible but I'm looking for a fairly easy option that wont take too much time. I would like to put chapters between each one but I dont want to spend the time making 55 menus but i may consider it if its not going to be too timeconsuming. The cartoons have the followig properties:
Video : 40 MB, 743 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 512*384 (4:3), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported
Audio : 4.58 MB, 83 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 1 channels, 0x55 = MP3, Supported
I was thnking about simply dropping them all into Premier Pro and letting the Mainconcept encoder do all of the dirty work but I figureed there may be some better ways.
I would like to use AC3 audio and use full 720 x 480 resolution becaue my standalone dvd player doesnt like half size resolved DVD's. If there are now simple solutions I suppose I would be illing o spenda couple of days using vdub to add them alltogether to make one giant video file but I assume somebody may have already mastered an easy technique.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thnaks in advance,
VC

Heres what I'd do:
Append them all into a single file in Virtualdub, then frameserver into TMPGENC and encode to a single MPEG-2 file, then open that file in TMPGENC DVD Author and set a chapter point at the beginning of each cartoon, and author the DVD. Alternately you could encode each file individually, then import all 55 as a separate chapter into TMPGDVD DVD Author, and then create the DVD. Each way is rather involved, it just depends on what works for you.You are in breach of the forum rules and are being banned. Do not post false information.

What is the total runtime ?
You could get up to 4 hours at half-D1 without losing much quality from what you have. At D1 (full res) you are likely to lose quality (from resizing up) and will only get 2 hours per disk.
I think your Premiere Pro idea is probably the easiest, assuming you can get the bitrate right. Mainconcept is a good encoder. I have done similar in Vegas. You might run into problems if the audio is MP3 VBR.Read my blog here.

It has too. It's required. There is no choice. It means whatever you made, you did something incorrect. It has NOTHING to do with the resolution. Maybe your software or some other factor.
You cannot fit all 55 on one disc without them looking like trash. Stay at 352x480 with 2.5 VBR (4.0 max) and you should fit 3-4 hours per disc. It's going to take 2-3 discs.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Ok Ill give it a try. What program do you suggest? Do ya think I should merge them with vdub? I'm thinking about a making 4 DVD volume with around 13 or 14 cartoons per dvd.
