ok, i recently reformated my harddrive and reinstalled windows xp sp2. i'm having a problem that i never had before. my system properties detects my dvd rrw burner as dvdrw ide 1008, which it did in the past. the drive reads discs but when i want to burn a dvd or cdr, it won't do it. i'm using nero 6.6 and when i insert a clean, brand new dvdr or cdr, it tells me to insert a new blank disc. this occurs even after i try different new discs. i've had the same OS and software prior to my reformating the drive and i burned discs without any problem. i don't know what to do. let me know what you guys think.
my drive is almost a year old.
