    Hi all i had to wait 2 days to post this due to being a new memeber and all , i love the website ive found alot of usefull info on it in the past couple months =) Any who lemme get down to my problem , Ive been trying to get some anime from my pc onto svcd/vcd to show my friends on the DVD player the only problem is that pretty much every file is an avi but compressed with xvid .... ive searched this website and look at alot of guides and threads on the forums but i have really seen anyone who has had the same problem heres one of the file's information

    width/height = 640x480
    bit rate = 128kbps
    audio format MPEG layer-3
    frame rate = 23fps
    data rate = 128kbps
    video sample size = 12 bit
    video compression = xvid

    when i was running windows xp i had these files converting no problem but after uninstalling xp "i hated it " and trying out windows 2003 i havent been able to get the problem situated even using the same software and codec's installed on my computer . I was using xilisoft video converter and have xvid codec / dixv codec installed ..... Well anyway , any information or suggestions on the matter would be GREATLY appreciated =/ i have pretty much given up on it and im awaiting my DVD-burner that im expecting for xmas but i hate whenever i get stumped on a problem with my pc .......

    Assuming that you have no existing software then;
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=230988

    Just modify the output to produce svcd.

    Could you publish what tools with versions you have.

    Theres a lot learn,

    I suggest that you start by reading the guides under How To on the left hand side and download some of the recommended tools.

    The like I provided was for the freeware tools.

    i looked over the guide on using diko and downloaded/tried out the software everything works well expect that any video file i try it on seems to get cut off for example

    anime episode 1 : 260mb

    after running it through diko and its finished being converted to an KSVCD bin/cue its the bin file is only 80mb ... i see no errors in the logs nor can find any options in the diko software itself that would make the file cut off like that =/

    Did you burn an SVCD from the bin/cue? Did it work on your DVD player?
