Converting Divx movies to full screen on TV

Hi,

I'm a new user with TMPGEnc.
I have a movie in divx format that is rectangular
when it is played on a TV ie black bars below and above
the screen.

How do I use TMPGEnc to encode it such that it appears
as full screen on my TV.
I have tried almost all the various source settings but
I still get the black bars.
Please help!!

btw, I'm using TMPGEnc 12a and Divx codec 4.02

you would have to go through virtual dub and apply some resize and 0 tranformation filters. That way you can create your own 'full screen' version.

I suggest you go to doom9.net and look up virtual dub resizing - and then frameserving into TMPGEnc

also no reason to hang on to 12a - the latest TMPGEnc is much better and the SVCD 'problem' in the other beta's has been fixed
